FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: I'm sure I'm at the right location, why am I not receiving any notifications?
First, try turning your bluetooth off and on. Wait 30 seconds. If that didn't solve the problem, you can try going into the History from the app's menu and turning the switch off then on again for the beacon you are near. Very rarely, a beacon battery will be dead but this is probably not the problem.
Q: I'm at a beacon location in the building and I clicked on a notification. Why isn't any content loading?
This app requires an internet connect to load new content. Check that you have a working internet connection using your mobile web browser. Ensure that you don't need to accept the terms for using OSU's Wi-Fi before being connected.
If you are sure your internet connection is working, then closing and restarting the app often solves this problem.
Q: I'm trying to use a tablet with Wi-Fi, but the signal is too weak to download new content.
The interior spaces in Sullivant Hall should have sufficient Wi-Fi. Try turning your Wi-Fi off and on. This will connect you to the nearest (and strongest) access point. If you are outside near Mershon Theater, the strongest signal is near the High Street entrance and the tall south-facing windows.
Q: Why can't I hear any audio in your sound file? My volume is turned up.
Ensure that your device's physical audio switch is not in the vibrate/silent position.
Q: I walk/work near one of the beacons and it won't stop alerting me. Can I make it stop?
There is a switch for each beacon in the "History" menu of the app. Turn off the switch to make your device ignore that beacon.
